About

Many of the  poets and writers we know and love have created art through their connections with nature and the natural world.

In this period of quarantining, crisis, or in times of self-isolation writing can be a tool to both connect with ourselves and also with the world around us.

Through writing, journaling, and creating poetry, we can, in our own ways, strengthen our bonds to the natural world

Wendell Berry said, “Nobody can discover the world for somebody else. Only when we discover it for ourselves does it become common ground and a common bond and we cease to be alone."

During this writing workshop we will read a selection of contemporary writers, engage with their work,  write together in the digital space,  and share our voices together.

This workshop will give you a packet ahead of the workshop to read, and prompts to take home at the end that will allow you to bring your new writing practice back into your life.

“With words at your disposal, you can see more clearly. Finding the words is another step in learning to see.” ― Robin Kimmerer
